U.S. Figure Skating

We are a member club of the United States Figure Skating association, which is the governing body of figure skating in the United States. This association develops standards, testing requirements and competitions for its members. There are over 173,000 members of more than 600 clubs. USFS is an International Skating Union member and sends skater to international and Olympic competitions. Skaters can choose to become competitors or to skate for their own recreational enjoyment. They can also take tests to advance to various levels of achievement. Structured tests provide goals, and goals provide motivation. U.S. Figure Skating also established Learn to Skate programs. Research has shown that children in athletic programs are better students and have fewer social problems.
